Otok Brač, situated with Rt Lašćatna (43°19′N 16°54′E), the E extremity of the island, 3 miles off the mainland coast, is the highest of all Adriatic islands, attaining its summit in Vrh Vidova Gora (43°17′N 16°37′E), visible from a great distance. The island is also the most populated and fertile of the Dalmatian Islands.
