Sailing Holidays in Vrboska

Vrboska harbour (43°11′N 16°41′E) is entered S of Rt Glavica. The village of Vrboska lies around the end of a narrow and wooded inlet at the head of the bay. The bay is protected N by a peninsula which terminates in Rt Glavica. Anchorage may be obtained close E of Rt Križ in 24 to 27 m mud. The holding is unreliable and in a Bora two anchors and a hawser to the shore areadvised. Small vessels of suitable size can go farther in to find shelter from Bora gales, securing to the NE shore. When anchoring care is necessary to avoid a submarine water pipeline laid across the entrance from the vicinity of Rt Križ to the shore opposite.
